100 Days with the Witnesses of Christ in the Book of Mormon

What if, instead of simply reading the Book of Mormon before Christmas, you spent 100 days listening to the people who actually witnessed Jesus Christ?

Behold, I Have Seen is a Christ-centered Book of Mormon reading journey designed to carry you toward Christmas through the testimonies of those who saw Him, knew Him, waited for Him, were changed by Him, and trusted Him when everything around them seemed to fall apart.

This is not a cover-to-cover reading plan, and it is not chronological. Instead, the scriptures are gathered around witnesses—Lehi, Nephi, Jacob, Isaiah, King Benjamin, Abinadi, Alma, missionaries and converts, Samuel, Mormon, Moroni, the people at Bountiful, and finally Jesus Christ Himself. Each reading was chosen because the whole record reveals who Christ is: His character, His covenant faithfulness, His redemption, and the way people respond when they encounter Him.

The 100 days unfold in five movements: Those Who Saw Him Afar Off; He Redeems; He Changes People and Sustains a Covenant People; He Remains When Worlds Fall Apart; and And He Came. Each day includes a focused scripture assignment, a “Look for Christ” question to guide your reading, a journal prompt for reflection, and an optional Portrait of Christ practice—building, one word or image at a time, a personal portrait of the Savior you have encountered in the text.

Then, on Christmas Eve, the journey becomes personal.

After 100 days of listening to other witnesses testify of Christ, you are invited to answer for yourself:

Who is Jesus Christ to me?

The final reflection gathers what stood out, what you learned, how you want to respond, and the portrait of Christ you have built along the way—ending not simply with a completed reading schedule, but with Moroni’s invitation to “seek this Jesus.”

Because real life does not always cooperate with beautiful reading plans, if you begin in mid-August, the schedule has grace days built in—room for missed days, travel, illness, busy weeks, and the ordinary interruptions of life without falling behind. If you prefer to read straight through with no grace days, begin September 15 to complete Day 100 on December 23 and reserve Christmas Eve for the final reflection.

Behold, I Have Seen was created for anyone who wants to approach the Christmas season more slowly and intentionally—to quiet some of the noise, open the Book of Mormon, and come to know the Savior through the voices of those who walked the ancient Americas.
